I thought the struggle my wife and I have with praying together consistently made us an exception. But talking with and coaching other couples here at Encompass Connection Center, I’ve discovered that those who often fail to pray together consistently may be of the majority. It’s also revealing that couples I work with who struggle overall in their relationships also have not been praying together. The struggle is not only real … it can also be destructive to romantic relationships. Looking on the flip side of this drives the point home even more: Less than 1 percent of couples who pray together experience marriage failure/divorce according to a recent Gallup poll! Is it any wonder why the enemy of our souls wants us to not do this … and does all he can to stop it?!
