If you own a smart phone, there is now a fun, innovative way to take the Five Love Languages into a new frontier. Want to know more? Get ready to download a cool new free app. The heart of the Five Love Languages is to learn how your partner best experiences love. Which of the five languages most "fill his or her love tank"? When one's love tank is filled with expressions of love we most appreciate, life feels different from when our love tank is depleted or overdrawn. So how do you learn what love languages you most value? Easy. The Love Nudge app contains a quick quiz that let's you select between about 20 pairs of statements, all starting with "It's more meaningful to me when . . ." Each statement concludes with 2 choices, such as 1) ". . . I receive a loving note/text/email for no special reason from my loved one" or 2) ". . . my partner and I hug". Then it really gets interesting. You can connect your profiles/results in order to begin living out "love nudges" according to your partner's preferences. I know from Ronda's quiz results that she most values Acts of Service (40%) and Quality Time (27%). Each love language contains 20-25 possible goals that can be selected to complete at variable rates: daily, X times per week, month or year AND with notifications right on your smart phone! Does it get any easier than this? Clever and entertaining animated videos help us get the idea of what each love language is about. "It's like a fitness app for relationships" I'm including a number of screenshots of the app below, but the best way to experience the Love Nudge app is to download it to your phone, share it/connect with your partner and begin (or continue) filling each other's love tanks.
