Likely, there were expectations for employees to complete certain tasks and responsibilities. As long as everyone does what they’re supposed to and stays in their lanes, everything is great, right? Well, that’s actually half the equation of a productive and healthy workplace or team. Getting things done is super important but so is getting along. How do the two relate to each other? In January 2024, after about 10 years of providing resources for couples to thrive in healthy relationships, Encompass launched a new program called Work Smart, Live Well. Although it included many of the same communication and conflict resolution principles as the RINGS course for couples, it was intentionally tailored for those in workplace or team relationships.
A study completed by CPP, Inc. in 2008 (provider for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) cited the following on unresolved conflicts in the workplace:
The bottom line is that unhealthy relationship patterns (NOT getting along) can have a huge impact upon productivity – getting things done. Work Smart, Live Well is a 3-4 hour interactive online course that can be completed individually or in groups.
