By Dr David Marine Mabry Encompass Executive Director As the confetti settles and the balloons drift away, we reflect on the remarkable journey of our 20th anniversary. Celebrating two decades of growth and impact, we now turn our eyes toward an even brighter future. Just as a long-lasting marriage evolves and strengthens, we believe the best days for Encompass Connection Center lie ahead. Here are some exciting developments we’re looking forward to:
1. Continued Stability and Dependability While it may sound understated for “vision-casting,” the truth is that lasting organizations—much like strong marriages and families—thrive on stability. This steady foundation is not boring; it is essential. It will propel us toward an even greater impact in the communities we serve. 2. Commitment to the Best Tools and Skills We pride ourselves on offering high-quality tools and skills that foster relational health. Our commitment to excellence will continue as we expand our relationship education and coaching offerings. By incorporating the most effective content, we aim to equip couples, families, and organizations for lasting success. 3. Reintroducing In-Person Training Opportunities Our robust online programs, including RINGS, REACH, Parenting for Kids' Sake, and Work Smart, Live Well, have been well-received. However, we recognize the growing desire for in-person experiences. We envision hosting more classroom sessions at the Encompass Training Center and at various off-site locations, enhancing our interactive learning opportunities. 4. Expanding Beyond Clark County Our mission began with a vision to reduce the divorce rate in Clark County, a goal we've successfully achieved. As a result, our reputation for fostering healthier relationships has reached beyond county lines. With over 10,000 online relationship assessments completed annually from across the U.S., we are committed to extending our reach and serving more individuals and families in need. 5. Training an Army of Relationship Coaches and Educators Drawing inspiration from Jesus in Matthew 9:35-38, we see many people in distress within their relationships. Just as He recognized the need for more laborers, we too believe that the demand for relationship support is immense. Our goal is to cultivate a new generation of relationship champions who can effectively address this need and bring hope to those struggling. 6. Sharing the Mission with a Broader Community We believe in the power of collective impact. By inviting more people to share in our mission, we can create lasting change in family dynamics and organizational cultures. Ownership in this mission requires generosity—of time, resources, and skills—and a commitment to showing compassion for those in need. Join us as we embark on this mission! Over the past 20 years, countless family trees have been transformed. While we celebrate our accomplishments, we recognize that much work lies ahead. Together, let’s continue this journey of inspiring and equipping relationships to thrive, embracing the future with hope and determination.
