RINGS Experience Relationship Assessment

Your relationship appears to be COEXISTENT
  • Your total score was between 210 and 239 (Check your email for specific scoring for each category)
  • You are in the middle tier of 5 relationship health groupings:
    1. Vitalized - VIEW
    2. Connected - VIEW
    3. Coexistent
    4. Conflicted - VIEW
    5. Devitalized - VIEW

COEXISTENT
couples generally experience a blend of positives and negatives with an opportunity to aim for higher satisfaction. There may be some threats of relationship intruders like addictions, affairs, abuse, or mental illness. Partners can feel a bit like "roommates" only with little intimacy or connection. Both feel like there has to be a better way to live.

Color Key
The following colors correlate with the 4 main sections in The RINGS Experience (our main program for strengthening couple relationships) and 3 Relationship satisfaction, realism and intrusion categories.
  • Knowing who you are - Strengths and growth edges; Commitment; Personalities; Family trees
  • Mastering communication skills - Asserting and listening; Transparency; Connecting daily
  • Dealing with real life - Stress; Anger; Forgiveness; Conflict
  • Moving forward together - Managing finances; Leaving a legacy
------------------------------
  • Relationship Satisfaction - General positive feelings about overall relationship
  • Relationship Realism - Absence of agreeing with absolute and unrealistic statements
  • Relationship Intruders - Absence of issues with addictions, affairs, abuse, mental illness

Categories Explanation
  • Maximum scores for any category will be 20.
  • For all categories, the higher the scores, the better. Excellent = 19, 20; Above average = 17, 18; Average = 15, 16; Below average = 13, 14; Poor = 12 and below
  • Relationship realism refers to how realistic your responses are, drawing upon 4 embedded statements that are intentionally absolute and unrealistic like "My partner and I always understand each other completely." Even the healthiest of relationships will experience occasional "speed bumps". Agreeing with any of these 4 statements will have a slight lowering effect on your overall score. The higher the score, the better.
  • Relationship intruders is a negative category, so it is reverse scored. It tests for the presence of or concerns with 4 intruders: addictions, affairs, abuse, and mental health issues. The higher the score, the better.

Your Next Steps
  • Are there particular areas in your relationship you are wanting to strengthen? Communication? Connection? Conflict Resolution?
  • Has your partner also taken this assessment? If not, that may be a good next step, and then to compare your results with each other.
  • Explore The RINGS Experience, a virtual, interactive, skills-based approach to help build the exact skill categories you may be seeing deficits in. It is very affordable and can be connected with live coaching for greater traction and accountability.
THIS COMPLETES THE RELATIONSHIP ASSESSMENT YOU REACHED OUT FOR.
  • Hopefully, this gives you an accurate and helpful snapshot of where your relationship is right now.
  • Most couples see some deficits that are hindering their relationship satisfaction.
  • WE CAN HELP YOU GROW IN  AND REDUCE THOSE AREAS OF DEFICIT THROUGH INTERACTIVE, PRACTICAL, SKILLS-BASED LEARNING.
